CUSP is a system of spiritual energy work designed to create unimaginable abundance. CUSP is not a religious system, but a spiritual process of proactive self-improvement and life betterment. The “religious” part is up to you; however, CUSP does work with a concept of the Divine, using whatever form that takes for the individual. CUSP is not Pagan, although Pagan people often use it. CUSP is not Christian or Jewish, although Christian or Jewish people use it. CUSP is a universal form of communication and a cooperative working relationship between Divine and personal energies, as well as the energies of the natural expressions of the Divine.
The premise of CUSP is that of Energy Magic. Energy Magic involves the use of naturally occurring energy, Divine energy, and our own energy to manifest a desired outcome. Earth, air, fire, and water have energetic patterns that lend a very specific flavor to any outcome. Each rock, herb, and color has its own vibrational energy that lends sympathetic energy to any appropriate process. The intertwining of Divine energy with our own personal energy in an “As above, so below” handshake gives form to the manifestation of our own greatest good and deepest desires.
CUSP uses Energy Magic to create smaller, immediate changes in day-to-day life but also structures out a plan for long-term, larger changes using the Spiral of the Year. The Spiral of the Year maximizes the energy of the crosspoints of the equinoxes and solstices, celebrating the seasonal shifts in our world. We add to that four more touchpoints by including holidays that were sacred to the first agricultural people. These dates were significant to animal husbandry and the progression of the harvest. This creates an annual progression through eight pivotal celebrations that build upon one another and culminate with the end of the harvest each year.
At each of these eight celebrations, a specific energy comes into play to further the goals of the year. Each year builds on the previous year’s movement through these holidays, creating an upward spiral effect. We continually return to the same points in the annual progression but on the next higher level, incorporating and building on the foundation of our prior lessons and successes. We climb the ever-ascending spiral toward greater progress and continued improvement of our lives and our individual circumstances. This comes not only through the conscious manifestation of positive life changes that CUSP directly creates, but also through the lessons we learn from the changes that did not manifest or manifested in a way that we did not anticipate.
The agricultural holidays listed in our Spiral of the Year guide us through the annual harvest process, signifying the kickoff of a new course of action on the road to achieving our goals. The process starts with Winter Solstice and generally culminates sometime between August and November. We plan, plant, fertilize, nurture, and harvest life changes throughout the year, with each year taking us into a more abundant and joyful life.
On an outward level that can be seen, felt and known, we “harvest” of real and tangible goals. Your “harvest” takes the form of long-term changes you wish to manifest in your life. The more internalized benefit you achieve is that you deepen your relationship with the Divine and with the natural expressions of the Divine around you. You begin to understand why your life unfolds the way it does. As much as this system of sacred practice is a method for positive external change, it is also an effective catalyst for internal change.
Just like a physical garden, the CUSP process requires real effort from the participants. Too many times, we have seen people engage CUSP from a lazy perspective of not wanting to put in the time and energy required to create change. Instead, they want the Divine energy to do it for them. They want results now and yet they do not want to do the work to achieve those results. “The Lord helps those who help themselves” is never truer than in CUSP. The Divine will greatly assist, but only if we do our part as well. CUSP is not for the lazy, for those trying to “get over” or take advantage of others, and it is not for those who refuse to know themselves.
CUSP is for those who wish to better themselves and create a life of abundance and joy and who are willing to work in concert with magical energies to manifest change. It is meant for those who wish to thrive and engage a fully actualized life
