LORD have MERCY people, did you make it through 2010?
I do realize I have not updated this site in something like a bazillion year and I can only beg forgiveness and promise to do better.
And drink. Drinking is good.
Wow! Did that year just totally sit us on our asses or WHAT? It was such a challenge and what I saw as a theme was how people were confronted in the areas where they define themselves in the world. Securities were taken away right and left and often we woke up in the morning with the negative groan of “What’s NEXT” and covered up our heads and tried to go back to sleep.
How did you fare?
We went though a lot of the same challenges as other people, sometimes managing it with grace and dignity and other times, just falling right down in the mud puddle and having a good cry. Nobody’s perfect and even when we can see the process and acknowledge the power of God/The Universe at work in our lives, it can be terribly hard to smile and say, “Thank you, Ma’am, may I have another!”
Still, many people have commented – whether in wishful thinking or a genuine energy, doesn’t matter, still works – that this year is so much more alive and positive than last year. That isn’t to say the last year wasn’t a positive overall movement for all of us! Even the painful stuff is still moving us unerringly toward our own greatest good. It is essential that we all hold onto that belief and allow the powers that be to get busy in our lives!
The more we are willing to release the illusion of control in our lives and give over to the direction the river is carrying us, the more life will no longer feel like a struggle, a battle we can never win. It is when we are challenging our own destiny and fighting against the current that we lose our perspective and start to drown.
Lay back on your raft and feel the warm sun on your body as you sail down your river. Do not fear the changes that are manifesting around you! Whether it looks like it or not, they are something that is being done for you, not to you. They are the very keys that unlock the door to the next chapter of your life.
Aren’t you tired of fighting the process? Well knock it off!
Smile every single day, as often as you can. Feel the power coursing through you and know that life is going exactly as it should. You aren’t going down in a blaze of glory! You are reinventing yourself in the most cleansing of fires that will burn away all that is old and outmoded and no longer serves you. You will emerge reborn, cleansed, beautiful and shiny new! Birth can be uncomfortable, as those of us who have done it know, but wow, you sure do feel lighter and happier when it’s over and then you have a beautiful new life to adore!
Tell me you don’t feel the excitement, the adrenaline rushing through you and the tingle in your skin and special parts! It’s ON. This year is going to totally rock. After 2010, we totally deserve the rewards we are going to get this year!
